Evening Garden

Evening Garden

Tree Paeony yellow like butter doing gentle sways in faint breezes and Flag Iris with those quivering tips on slender rich leaves, upright and strong, sucking every second from the days sun.
Collar Dove crouch in pairs with feathers like grey pearls and painted black neck line. Snail shell litters cobbled path where Thrush's anvil rests and birch leaves shimmer like green silver.
Ponds that bubble gently hold dark reflections, pictures of a day passed and an orange sun glistens through oak branches, a light show only mother nature can conjure.

  1. Oh! You have a wonderful way with words. Another beautiful poem - full of colour that nature gives for free if the time is taken to look at all that's around us. More please. Erika xxx
